I would like to recommend a pinned thread in the Issues & Bug Reports forum for problems people have with badges. There seems to be a decent amount of new threads with various badge issues.

Except that staff uses each thread to track the issue, and can mark it as in progress, completed, more info needed, and other statuses (stati?). Think of it almost like a site ticketing system.
